Victorian marriages – found at St Mary’s RC, Geelong

A small but interesting group of marriages have been located amongst St Mary’s Roman Catholic church records and feature in the Geelong & District Database.  Places mentioned include Branxholme, Footscray, Little River, Teesdale, Benalla, Mansfield, Geelong and Anakie to mention a few – certainly a strange collection!

This is the list of additions since 19 August making a total of 1,302,047 entries in the database:

  • Geelong District: GDHA Church records – St Mary’s RC 1856-1881 [a selection of marriages from various parts of Victoria found amongst St Mary’s, Geelong records] – Marriages [inc. Fathers, Mothers & Witnesses] – 124 entries
  • Geelong Racing: the history of horse racing in Geelong [Book] – 7903 entries
  • Colac Shire: Rate Books 1920-21 [GRS 1393] – 3,612 entries
  • South Barwon Courts: Petty Sessions Registers 1864 [VPRS 350] – 213 entries
