Amazing Treasure Trove of Records

The foundation stone of the Geelong Infirmary and Benevolent Asylum was laid in 1850 and officially opened on 23 April 1852.  The records for both the Infirmary (Hospital) and Benevolent Asylum contain information that is an absolute gold-mine for family historians.

This presentation will give you an important insight into the records which have been included in the recently announced Geelong Family History Group’s NEW Research Option.

It will focus on the Geelong institutions but the same principals apply to early hospital records around Australia.
